deep picture frame w/ lovely antique gesso decoration, vintage photo portrait

Shabby but lovely antique wood and gesso frame, 16 1/2" x 14 3/4" overall, 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" over the opening. We found this holding this photo, not period to the frame, probably 1930s vintage.

We've left it all as we found it, though the photo is as worn as the frame. No glass included, this is just the bare picture and the frame.
