vintage porthole wall clock, solid brass & walnut case, mechanical movement w/ key, Wuersch - Falls River, Mass

Mid-century vintage mechanical wall clock with a great nautical or maritime design. It has a heavy solid brass and turned walnut case with hinged port hole cover.

It's made with a single bell or chime.

It measures about 10 1/2" across the case and about 3 3/8" from the wall (about 4 1/4 over the latches).

This clock has the key, but is not running. There's a note with some numbers and a date from 1981 taped inside the case, probably the last date serviced. I'm leaving this to someone who knows more about clocks than I do, but you could also replace the mechanical movement for a battery operated quartz movement if you really wanted to... it has a terrific case.
