1930s vintage crocks, stoneware pottery cookie jar canisters w/ lids, red painted flowers

Lot of two 1930s vintage stoneware crock jars, matching jars both painted in the same red color, with different floral designs. I think these were probably intended as cookie jars, but they'd make great big canisters, too! They are very heavy, and measure about 9 1/2" tall.

The painted finish is period to the jars and looks to have been the original finish. Paint is worn in a pleasing way, and both jars and the lids are in good condition overall. There's a few small old chips, no serious chips, no cracks. These have no makers marks that I could find, though they look like Ransburg pieces to me.
