working vintage 1940 Toastmaster art deco chrome / bakelite toaster

Vintage chrome and bakelite two-slice toaster, a Toastmaster with design patent number dating this to 1940. The chrome looks good, and bakelite fittings have no chips or cracks.

The electrical cord is showing it's age (it's dirty and faded, and has two small nicks to the insulation). The toaster seems to work just fine, but we'd suggest replacing the cord!
