Crown Staffordshire Bluebells vintage England bone china, double salt dip or ring dish

Vintage English bone china double dish, bluebell pattern Crown Staffordshire with gold trim in excellent condition. It measures 4 1/4" across the bowl.

I've been told this is a salt dish, but it looks to me like an ideal size and shape for a trinket dish to hold rings and / or other jewelry. So pretty!
