Damar made in Italy multi blade serrated slicer, mid century vintage kitchen gadget tool

Worn, weirdly interesting vintage kitchen gadget marked Damar Products - Newark 2 N.J. - Made in Italy. I was told this was a pasta cutter (not sure how that would even work?), but I think it's for slicing tomatoes. Though I've found it called an egg slicer or a cheese slicer, too!
