English Delft blue white china soup plate bowls, French country style Angleterre porcelain
more photos of this product belowVery interesting antique blue and white china soup plates - I loved these as soon as I saw them, with the ships and windmills pattern border pattern in blue. They look very coastal France to me, but the mark on the back is DELFT (the pattern name) Mellor, Taylor &Co - England Angleterre Porcelain. Maybe the scenes are Norfolk, or maybe Holland?
It's a lovely set in any case, four matching ironstone bowls late 1800s or very early 1900s vintage. These are 9" across the rims, a nice large shallow shape. All four of these have wear, crazing and staining - which doesn't detract from their charm in the least. No chips or cracks to any of them.
