Madeira hand embroidered linen placemats w/ drawn work, padded satin stitch embroidery

Early to mid-century vintage Madeira linen place mats... these do have some spotting which we did not try to remove. But the hand work is very detailed and of high quality, with padded stitching and drawn thread borders.

It's a set of four pieces, size 10" x 16". They show very little wear (no fraying etc.) just the aforementioned spots! Please see photos.
