Victorian aesthetic antique brown transferware plate, birds flying tree branches, beehive mark
more photos of this product below
Aesthetic period late Victorian transferware china plate, birds and branches pattern in brown on browned stained china, a lovely patina of time and wear. The back is nearly as pretty as the front, with the old bee skep mark.
This bee hive marking is Dunn - Bennett & Co (Hanley, England) late 1800s or turn of the century.
The pattern name is 'Vintage', I believe. Which just goes to show that some things really are timeless!
Plate measures about 7 1/4" in diameter. No chips or cracks, but very discolored crazing from almost 150 years of age and use.
