Old antique wicker sewing basket with plywood plank bottom and hinged lid, 'prettied up' a bit in the 1930s with some decals and a cherry red bakelite knob.

The original antique rayon lining is very worn and spotted, shredding like silk. But aside from that, there's only a few breaks to the caning - the basket is in good solid shape overall. Measures 16" x 10 1/2" x 5 1/2".
