aesthetic antique brown transferware china, sunflowers pattern small tureen Wm Brownfield Staffordshire

Beautiful very old covered dish in a transferware pattern we've never seen before, all sunflowers in brown.

This has some nice early markings, some nearly impossible to read. We've been advised that this is William Brownfield and Sons, 1880.

This is a small tureen with a notched lid, or a sauce dish or covered vegetable bowl? It's 8 1/2" long across the handles.

It's very browned inside and out, but aside from that the only damage we saw was that there's no longer any handle on the lid. Still very pretty, a nice antique piece of Staffordshire china.
