antique Meriden Britannia silver plate tea or coffee pot, UC monogram very ornate

I like this late Victorian Meriden silver tea or coffee pot, and would love to hear the stories it could tell, with that old UC monogram! If you can't win a trophy, you can always use a teapot, right?

It's very worn, silver plate polished away in areas, very tarnished where the silver remains. The mark is Meriden B Company with the scales mark. Measures about 9 1/2" tall overall.
