antique candy container funny duck in Easter hat, vintage paper mache composition metal feet

Old Easter duck toy with poseable neck, papier mache body, painted metal feet. This is not marked that I could see, maybe Germany? It's about 6" tall to the top of the Easter bonnet.

The hat is firmly attached, I thought this might have been a candy container but it must have been just a toy. Or perhaps the duck had a basket for candy or an egg which is long gone. The duck is missing one paper eye, and has some very old tape repairs at her neck.
