antique vintage paper mache composition Easter bunnies, egg holders or candy containers

Pair of large old papier mache composition rabbits in Easter bonnets, about 7 1/2" tall. I'm not sure what these were made to hold originally, a real egg is just a little too big. Maybe candy? They're worn and cracked and repaired, but nice and bright and still very cute!
