Early 1900s vintage Adams - England china dish with a rooster and the saying Save Your Breath To Cool Your Porridge. This is so old fashioned, the chicken, the type font - just a wonderful old piece like nothing you'd find today. This saying was attributed to Jane Austen, I believe.

The bowl measures 7 1/2" in diameter - a large dish for a child, or just a regular sized porridge dish for those who happen to enjoy conversation with their breakfast! There's an old chip to the rim, this has been used and does show age and wear.
