W H Grindley English flow blue china oval plate or small serving tray in the Celtic pattern, 1890s vintage.

This is just 12" long, with a fairly narrow shape. The border is textured, and accented in hand painted gold. Deep blue color showing through on the back of this piece - just look at that beautiful old makers mark! 1897 patent date is marked on the back as well.

It's noticeably worn (not surprisingly so, this is an antique well over a hundred years old). There's scratching and utensil marks to the finish, and a few glaze chips to the surface, shown in the photos.
