antique vintage table linens, pair of needle lace place mats, Venetian style Italian lace

Pair of heavy flat cotton thread lace placemats, handmade needle lace. We've been told that these were made in Italy, though they don't look exactly like Venice lace to us (no raised motifs). They measure 11" x 16".

These are both in very good condition, very little light spotting or soil. No broken threads or wear damage that I could find. Very unusual, and so pretty!
