art deco vintage china tray, chinoiserie peaches on black lacquer John Steventon England

Beautiful old English Staffordshire tray with a chinoiserie style design, peach fruit and leaves on glossy black background (painted to resemble lacquerware).

This is marked Royal Venton Ware (John Steventon), dates to the 1930s. Tray measures 15" across.

This is showing some age with glaze crazing and some discoloration, visible only on the back. No chips or cracks.
