pair large antique, hand-forged iron barn or stable door latch hooks

Pair of large primitive old iron hooks for latching barn or stable doors. These old latches are large and heavy and were hand wrought by a blacksmith. These are from an old farm estate and are the original antiques hooks, not newer reproductions!

They measure about 6 1/2" long, the hook is over 2 1/2" high and the eye is 3/4" across the inside. The iron rod is 1/2" thick.

These barn door or gate latches have a great patina of age.
