more photos of this product belowOld antique hand auger drill with a primitive wood cross handle. This tool is from an old farm estate and with a drill bit of this size was probably used for boring the holes for the cross pegs fastening the mortise and tenon joints in the old post and beam barns.
The iron auger style drill bit measures about 1 3/16" across and is 17" long. The wooden cross handle is about 18" wide.
