huge antique 3 5/8 inch Armstrong Strong Arm bridge building wrench, 27 inches long
more photos of this product belowHuge old antique Armstrong Bros Tool Co. open end wrench for steam engines, railroad locomotives, bridge building etc. This big old wrench is 3 5/8" between the jaws and measures about 27" long overall. This wrench is also marked with "1B7412" and Armstrong's "Strong Arm" trademark logo (originally trademarked in 1893) as a raised forge mark. The wrench is also stamped "L. C. H. W. Y. C." at the base of the wrench jaws. This marking is irregularly places and we think that it is probably initials to mark a workman's wrench on the work site to prevent loss or theft.
This vintage old wrench has a patina of age and some light rust.
