grungy primitive cotton string balls, lifetime collection of saved string!

Odd and interesting estate collection of 'string too short to be saved', saved for many years. The string looks grungy and worn, short bits and long bits, thick string and thin.

Looks like these balls are string all the way through, though I admit I didn't unwind them down to the bottom! There's eight string balls in all, sizes ranging from about 2" to 2 3/4" in diameter.
