handmade carved wood whimsy, Alice in Wonderland style life sized decorative teapot

Hand crafted lathe turned wood 'teapot', a decorative piece, solid black walnut wood. This is sized like a real teapot, about 9 3/4" tall overall. It's not signed or dated, but I think this has some age to it. Probably 1970s or 80s vintage, I think?

This has repaired crack to the lid, and a break (or finishing flaw?) at the end of the handle, see photos. The finish on this piece is just lovely, richly colored and so smooth.
