huge spool of grubby old cotton cord, light rope texture string for macrame yarn
more photos of this product below
Here's a huge old spool of the old fashioned cotton cord of the type used in
traverse rods... we think this is begging to be repurposed into crocheted
rugs, macrame plant hangers, paracord type projects?
We haven't unwound this to measure it, but there's a ton of cord on this
spool. (The spool measures about 12" x 12" over the wood, just to give you an
idea of the size we're talking about.)
There's very evident discoloration to at least the outside wraps here. We
haven't attempted to clean it or brighten it up at all, it might soak up
nicely, or possibly make a good choice for dyeing?.
It seems very sturdy yet, very strong for it's weight. The fiber is cotton,
or a cotton blend.
