tall carved wood candlesticks, Italian Florentine antique gilt finish

Pair of beautiful vintage florentine candle sticks, 16" tall. These are wood or wood composition, and have a antiqued hand rubbed gold paint finish with detailed colored design at the bases.

We couldn't find a mark or date on either of these, though we're guessing mid-century, and undoubtedly made in Italy. Both have a few light colored drips of wax from use, but we saw not other condition problems.
