mod vintage Italian ceramic ashtray, Pattarino majolica pottery abalone shell bowl

Mid-century vintage ceramic ashtray marked EPF Italy (Eugenio Pattarino), a majolica style 'abalone shell' bowl. This is roughly life size, about 6 1/2" across.

The coloring here is gorgeous, a deep, Bitossi style aqua blue. And the outside of the seashell is textured like the real thing.

It's been used, and is not in the best of condition - there's glaze chipping and crazing, especially on the interior.
