Vintage brown spongeware plate, reproduction English creamware in the
Rockingham agate or tortoise shell pattern originally made by Whieldon -
Staffordshire during the late 1700s.
This piece is 1970s or 80s, made for the Metropolitan Museum of Art (you
can just barely make out the MMA on the back). It's about 8 1/4" across
the eight sided file cut border. This is in excellent condition without
damage.
