vintage Whieldon Ware pheasant bird chintz china, huge compote & plate Winkle Wessex

Early 1900s vintage Whieldon Ware china in the hard to find Wessex pattern, a green background chintz with colored flowers and birds.

This is a huge open comport or urn shaped vase, with underplate. Marks vary slightly on these pieces, both are marked F Winkle - England.

The vase or comport measures about 9 1/2" tall, 6" across. Plate is about 10 1/2" across the handles. There's some browning to both of these pieces (more so to the urn), but no chips or cracks to either. A gorgeous set, my photos don't do it justice here!
