old handmade knit knitted lace edging, wide flounce sewing trim for linens or clothing
more photos of this product belowEarly 1900s vintage knitted lace, a lot of all knit cotton thread edgings in four different patterns, five pieces in all.
These look as though they were made as trimming for pillowcases, or to trim petticoats. They were knitted flat and sewn into loops, except one piece which is still flat yardage. It doesn't look as though any of this was ever used.
There's two loops of the hairpin lace 46" (if it were flat) x 2 3/4" deep. The shell pattern edging is a loop 72" x 3" deep. The diamond pattern edging is a loop 64" x 3" deep. And the flat (unlooped) piece is 50" long x 2 1/2".
