old handmade wood sewing box, small dome top trunk or chest, tramp art vintage

Early 1900s vintage handcrafted wood sewing box, 10" x 6" x 6 1/2" tall to the top of the domed trunk lid. It's been partially painted on the interior, though the exterior in natural wood of different types finished with a clear varnish.

This has had a big old hook added to it to keep it closed while carrying... it's a little crude, but having spilt the contents of a couple of sewing boxes in my time, I can only sympathize!
