old wood carpenter's tool box, primitive chest packing case for machinist's tools, WWII vintage

Handmade wooden trunk 'tool box' made by a WWII solider to send a package of things home to his family. We love the way the addresses are just painted on the top of the box! It has a lovely patina of age for that modern farmhouse / rustic industrial look.

This is sturdily made if primitive, and nicely sized for an end table or small coffee table. It'll make a great conversation piece and give you a little extra storage space at the same time. It measures 22 1/2" x 18" x 12" overall.
