pair of hand carved wood squirrels bookends, vintage Switzerland Black Forest style carving

Vintage Swiss hand carved wooden squirrel book ends, charming primitive folk art pieces. The squirrels measure about 3" x 3 1/2", the bookends are about 5 1/2" tall.

These have some scuffing and wear, and the squirrels fit loosely on the bookends. The bottom of the bookends is marked Switzerland, but has no artist signature that I could see.
