perch or walleye pike fish, vintage hand painted ceramic dish made in France

Perch (pickerel?) or pike hand painted ceramic dish, marked Made in France. This looks like a walleye to me, but here in Wisconsin walleye are very common. I'm not sure if there are any walleyes in France?

It's an unusual and very attractive piece, in any case. Measures about 9 1/2" long end to end. There's a few chips and glaze chips at the rim of the dish, and a little glaze crazing.
