danish modern vintage scandinavian table linens, drawn thread, colored linen
more photos of this product belowLarge lot of 60s - 70s - 80s cotton and linen table linens for casual dining - placemats, napkins etc.. There are some nice older Scandinavian pieces here (two jacquard flax linen place mats with people in folk dress, and a set of colored linen placemats and lunch napkins) some lovely handwork (a set of placemats with drawn thread work borders) and some 'newer' pieces (a set of oversized fringed napkins, made in India - never used, from this same estate).
The folk people placemats measure 16 1/2" x 12", and are marked with a woven mark in the corner. We can't make out the mark, but were told that these were brought back from a trip to Sweden and Denmark, years ago. Both are in nice shape.
The 8 colored linen napkins are hemmed linen swatches from the same trip, these measure 8 1/2" x 6". All are in excellent condition.
There are 8 place mats of the same sort of linen, these have a few light spots, and measure 18" x 13".
The 8 drawn thread place mats are so much nicer than the new ones in the Pottery Barn! They measure 17" x 11 1/2", and do have a few light spots from use.
There's are silver shot placemats (just 7) and napkins (4), all have been used, and have some spots. There's a few other assorted towels or napkins, and 8 of the aqua colored cotton napkins with fringed edge, which are newer, but nice!
