stoneware Butter crock w/ lid, blue sponge ware antique vintage style modern handcrafted pottery

Artist signed modern spongeware Butter crock with lid, in excellent condition. Nice and clean, no chips, cracks or crazing. Measures about 6 1/2" in diameter, jar without cover stands about 3 1/4" tall.

I believe this is not an actual reproduction, but a piece in a vintage style, with the blue sponge in the classic tradition. I have no idea of the maker, I haven't been able to find this signature anywhere, sorry!
