old antique pressed glass store counter jar, old octagon canister, sun purple

Nice old sun purpled glass store counter canister jar with ground glass lid, marked patent applied for, but without a company name.

This has some roughness to the inside rim of the lid, the jar looks very good, without chips.

This measures about 7 1/4" tall overall and about 5" across the jar.
