tattered antique hand painted silk fan, circa 1900 vintage debutante ball

Cheaply made but lovely antique painted silk fan from about 1902... the lady who once owned this 'came out' that year. It's been kept saved away in a jewelry box for over 100 years!

It's wood ribs and silk, probably Chinese, though we didn't find any markings. It measures about 13 1/2" across opened as shown. The silk fabric is very delicate, brittle from age, moth-eaten. The back rib is broken.
