vintage Delta Electric Juniorlite battery lantern flashlight two light lamp w/ handle

Nice clean (untested) Delta Electric Juniorlite battery lantern, 1930s or 1940s vintage. This looks like a camping or sportsman's lamp (a bicycle light?) to me, but I was told this was a railroad or miner's light? Battery compartment looks good without corrosion, and the light bulb is still in place.
