vintage French Poubelle de table, white ironstone china jar, waste can for kitchen or table food scraps

Vintage French Poubelle de table (table bin) for bones and scraps, fruit peels or cores etc. (Fruit remains, as my mom used to call them. Suddenly that just popped into my head.)

This is a traditional piece for family style meals, also very handy for kitchen scraps while cooking. Just adds the perfect little touch of France to your kitchen or farmhouse table. And I love the whimsical design of fish bones and mussel shells, and that script lettering.

It's about 4 1/2" in diameter and 5 1/2" deep, white ironstone (design on the front, plain classic all white if you turn this around). Nice and clean without crazing or discoloration, but this does have a flat chip to the rim of the jar - hard to see.
