vintage German black forest owl animated clock moving eyes cuckoo clock

Early post World War II vintage German animated motion clock in the tyrolean black forest cuckoo clock style... a horned owl with roly poly moving eyes and wood burned feathers design... a charming piece of fairy tale cottage decor!

This clock isn't complete, it's missing at least the pendulum, as well and the driving weights and chain. It only moves the eyes, it doesn't make any noise or have other motion.

It measures about 7" high, 4 1/4" wide and 2 1/4" deep (from the wall). It's marked Western Germany so we'd date it to between 1945 and 1950 or so.

The roly poly eyes move with each stroke of the pendulum arm.
