vintage Mary Gregory hand painted glass vase, Bohemian or French glass satin shaded blue purple
more photos of this product belowInteresting and lovely vintage glass vase, roughly turn of the century (1900) I believe. This is not marked or signed, and I've had an impossible time researching this on the internet.
The figure of a young girl is all in white, no color. Doesn't look exactly like the Kate Greenaway style of the 'real' Mary Gregory pieces to me, though it's beautifully done.
The glass itself has a more simplistic style than many Victorian pieces, matte satin glass shading blue to purple. No rough pontil. Measures a little over 11" tall.
I don't have a ton of familiarity of antique Fenton or Westmoreland art glass pieces, but I'm inclined to believe this is very likely a European piece, French or Bohemian. Maybe I've missed a signature, I would have expected this to be signed, Fenton or otherwise.
It's not in perfect condition - there's chips to the rim, where a oil lamp font might have fit. No other problems, and it's fairly clean overall.
