vintage Mexican pottery charger plate or tray, gold apples on green Castillo Mexico

Vintage Mexican pottery charger plate or serving tray, 12"in diameter. It's in very good condition showing very little wear. We love the golden apples against the olive green background.

This is marked Castillo (handmade in Mexico). Maybe Talavera pottery? Former owner (Batie Freitag) has added her name in marker at some point - we haven't tried to remove it beyond a gentle dish soap and water!
