vintage black milk glass cookie jar, ebony black opaque glass w/ painted flowers

Vintage opaque black glass cookie jar or kitchen canister, late 1930s vintage. The jar measures about 8 1/2" tall with the cover in place.

The hand-painted design is worn and shabby, though the glassware looks very good.  You could easily remove the paint completely, to repaint this piece yourself, or to decorate or leave plain black glass as you'd like. We love the old black glass pieces, though they're not always easy to find!
