vintage butter pats mold, white ironstone porcelain mold Schmid Design Folio

Great little kitchen utensil, a vintage ironstone china butter mold in very nice clean condition without damage. An interesting piece for display, though this is made to actually use.

I've seen the instructions for using this piece, basically the butter is packed into the two little pats in the mold after rinsing the mold in cold water. Mold with butter is chilled or frozen, then the molded butter is carefully removed.
