vintage carved wood finial, large stair post knob pinecone or acorn w/ worn old paint

Single finial for a newel post or something similar, all wood with wood peg at the bottom. This would make a wonderful decorative piece just as it is!

It measures 3 1/4" long with a peg 1 1/8" long beyond that. Overall diameter of the finial is about 2 1/2", peg is 1/4" diameter.
