vintage cotton feed or flour sack fabric printed dog & cat pattern for punch needle hook

Vintage cotton sack fabric with printed designs which I think are for rug hooking or punch needle embroidery - these are sized like pillow tops or chair mats, too small for rugs! Both are 17" x 17", one with a dog, one with a cat.

This is a fairly light open weave cotton, natural unbleached color. I believe they were probably printed on feed sacks or sugar sacks as several companies had projects like this on their sacking. But I haven't been able to track down these particular designs, and I'm not sure of the exact vintage. Might be any time between 1920s and early 1950s.
