vintage desk lamp w/ cast iron base, industrial style pivot head ashtray lamp

Vintage (1940s?) desk lamp with adjustable angle socket - a little different from the more common gooseneck lamp! This one is missing the ashtray insert, and has had a very strange green paint job at some point.

The wiring looks great and works fine, so all this needs is a little work cosmetically to bring it back into style again. Measures just over 12" tall to the top of the socket in the upright table lamp position.
