vintage hillbilly mountain man redneck knee hugger doll, large felt pixie made in Japan

Very large knee hugger doll made like an Elf on the shelf, but a hillbilly, 1950s vintage Made in Japan. Kind of cute!

He's about 8" tall sitting, about 14" tall with his legs unfolded. Has some light general fading, but is in good shape overall.
