vintage industrial mailbox or tool box, metal tombstone shape w/ hasp for padlock

Very heavy steel tool box or mail box with a hinged lid that opens up at the top, has a hasp closure which could be locked with a padlock. This looks has though it once had a mounting at one side, but I don't believe it's been used in many years.

I love the unusual lid design and the old fashioned tombstone shape. This measures 18" x 6" x about 7" tall at the center, over the exterior of the box.

The grey painted finish is worn, rust spotted, dirty. We've left it pretty much as we found it, just dusted it a bit with a plain soft cloth and a clean brush.
