antique cast iron horse drawn buggy or wagon peddle step

Old antique cast iron square peddle step for a horse drawn buggy or wagon. Iron steps were used to help people get in and out of the buggies and wagons. This vintage iron buggy step is from on old farm estate near Portage in the Amish country of Wisconsin.

This step measures about 7 1/2" high to the mounting face and about 14" deep. The peddle is 3 1/2" x 4". This step has two of the old mounting carriage bolts stuck through the front bracket.

This buggy step was painted silver at some point.
